Our client is an established food production company. Innovative and dynamic, they are constantly pursuing new ways to improve the services and products they offer. An opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is the ideal role for a Quality Assurance Technician looking to develop their career with an award-winning company, who are experiencing exciting growth.

The role and key tasks include:

•         To ensure all products manufactured meet food safety, quality and legality requirements.                      

•         Ensuring the product meets the specification by carrying out flavour checks, bag weight checks, packaging coding details etc.

•         Carrying out daily glass/hard plastic audits. 

•         A basic level of understanding regarding CCP checks on the metal detection system. Full training will be given.        

•         To organise and issue production paperwork and labels then complete, check, file, store and retrieve any audit documents if /when required.

•         Manage sample collection for manufactured finished product, shelf life, micro tests. 

•         Verify general hygiene and machine operation via inspections prior to line start-up. This includes ATP and Allergen swabbing. Training will be given.

To be considered for the role, the candidate must have:

•         Knowledge of the food industry good manufacturing practices and hygiene standards (this can be from working with the JLM team).

•         Computer skills including excel and word are required.

•         Good communication skills with the ability to interact well with the manufacturing team.

•         The ability to fill in key production traceability sheets.

•         Ability to work calmly, whilst under pressure, with a good level of motivation.

•         Willingness to undertake training as part of his / her own role.

•         Ability to work overtime if required / subject to contract.

•         Can work well as part of a team.
