Our client a distribution centre supplying the FMCG industry working with fresh and ambient food products are potentially looking for Reach Forklift Truck Operators (D2). Their state-of-the-art warehousing and distribution facility is based in County Durham and offers excellent working conditions and opportunities.

• Temp-Perm position
• Rotational shift pattern across days and nights
• Salary £9.50-£10.50 ph depending upon experience

Here’s what your role will look like:

• You will join a team of FLT Drivers and will be working under the direction of the Warehouse Shift Supervisor
• Majority of your time will be spent operating Reach Forklift Trucks to load and unload materials
• You will also organise orders for distribution and move them to/from storage areas and loading docks into trucks or storage facilities
• Your other duties will include performing daily equipment checks, examining products and completing all relevant paperwork
• Working in temperature controlled conditions

What you will need to succeed:

• Counterbalance AND Reach FLT license - D2 license (over 8 metres) would be a distinct advantage
• You also need to have previous warehouse & FLT experience and ability to work unsupervised
• Due to the physical nature of the role you must be able to lift and move boxes of up to 20 kg
• You must be able to demonstrate reliability, excellent timekeeping and flexible and positive attitude
