Our client is a long established business based in Yarm. An opportunity has arisen for a Sous-Chef to work alongside and be part of their small friendly kitchen team, ran by their Head Chef, on a temp-to-perm basis. The expected start date is early-April.
This is the ideal role for a Sous-Chef who is looking to develop their career for a business with an outstanding reputation in the North East and beyond.
Your duties will include:
- Ordering, preparing, cooking and plating food in accordance with Head Chef’s instructions and standards
- Maintaining a high standard of service at all times
- Ensuring that Health, Safety and Hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times
- Working flexible hours throughout the working week
To be considered for the role of Sous-Chef, you must have:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Qualifications relevant to the role
- A passion and flair for cookery
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure, particularly during service
- Flexibility, dictated by the needs of the Business
- A willingness to learn new skills
Approx 48 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days. £9.50 per hour. A permanent contract will be offered to you after 12 weeks.
