Our client is a national pet food manufacturer in Ferryhill. As experts in producing and supplying raw pet food with over 50 years of experience, they are urgently seeking Pickers & Packers to join their team on a temp to perm basis following substantial business growth.
This is the ideal role for a Picker / Packer looking to secure employment with a Company that is leading the way in pet food manufacturing and is expanding further with the opening of a second Distribution Centre scheduled for February 2021.
As a Picker / Packer, you are responsible for the picking and packing of raw pet food in a safe and legal manner.
Other duties will include:
- Working on fast production lines
- Packing and labelling boxes
- Stacking pallets
- Recording packed items for traceability
- Achieving hourly packing targets
- Working under strict hygiene regulations
To be considered for the role of Picker / Packer, you must have:
- Experience of working in an FMCG environment
- The ability to work in a safe and controlled manner
- Flexibility to work varying shift patterns, dictated by business growth
- Outstanding communication skills
- The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Additionally, due to the location of the Client’s North Zone and shift times, you must possess your own transport. Working days are predominantly Monday to Friday with shifts starting from 6am, however, there may be busy days when the start time is 5am. Shifts will always be between 8-12 hours a day. There may be a requirement for ad-hoc weekend work.
