About the Role
As a Machine Operator, you will be based in the production area of the business – it’s a fast-moving manufacturing environment so you must be comfortable with working in a dynamic and often high-pressure environments.
You will be trained on how to operate food production machines, you will learn how to start them up, change settings and parts and clean the machines down.
Because it is a food production environment, in general, there is a lot of cleaning up to do and you must be able to comply with all of the food safety regulations.
In addition to that, you will also be expected to operate a forklift truck, all the training will be provided.
As your role progresses, you will learn how to perform various quality checks such as product temperature, moisture, density etc., and learn how to operate within the computer control room.
Hours & Location
Our client operates rotational shift pattern so you must be comfortable with working 12-hour shifts (6a-6pm/6pm-6am) – one week of day shifts and one week of nights. You will work 48 hours per week and will be rewarded with an annual salary of £24,585 (£9.85p/h paid weekly).
Our client is based in a rural area just outside Thirsk in North Yorkshire so it is important that you can drive and have your own transport.
