Reach Truck Driver - Warehouse
Our client is a long-established, soft drink manufacturing company. Innovative and dynamic, they are constantly pursuing new ways to improve the services and products they offer. An opportunity has arisen for a Reach Truck Driver to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

As a Reach Truck
Driver you will be expected to move products, make sure all products are packed correctly, and all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Your duties will include:

- Operating the Reach Truck: Safely driving and operating the reach truck to transport goods and materials within the warehouse. This includes navigating narrow aisles and tight spaces.

- Loading and Unloading: Loading and unloading items from shelves, racks, and pallets, typically at heights, using the truck’s extendable forks.

- Stacking and Storing Goods: Placing goods in storage areas at various heights, ensuring items are stored correctly and safely to maximize space and organization.

- Inventory Management:
Assisting with stock checks by physically counting items and ensuring
accurate inventory records. They may also scan barcodes or use other technology to track products.

- Maintenance and Safety: Performing daily pre-operation checks to ensure the reach truck is in good working condition. This includes checking for proper fluid levels, tire condition, and overall functionality. Reporting on any maintenance needs.

- Following Safety Protocols: Adhering to safety guidelines to minimise accidents and damage to goods. This includes wearing
appropriate protective equipment (PPE).

- Handling Goods with Care: Ensuring that products are moved and stored without damage, especially when dealing with fragile or perishable items.

- Communication: Communicating with warehouse supervisors and other team members about the status of operations, any issues with inventory, or any equipment malfunctions.

- Assisting with Other Warehouse Tasks: When not operating the reach truck, a reach truck driver may be asked to
assist with other warehouse duties like organizing goods, packing items for shipment, or even helping with manual loading/unloading.
To be considered for this role, you must have/be:

Proficient in
operating the reach truck, particularly in confined spaces.
Shifts: Nights (10pm-6am), Backs (2pm-10pm), Days (6am-2pm) rotation.
Your own transport is required due to the location of the role.
