This role has an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Manager to work with the Warehouse Team to focus on meeting customer delivery targets and operational performance measures.
This role will be based in Billingham.
Duties of this role include:
- Responsible for the warehouse operating at peak efficiency by supervising, organising, directing and training warehouse employees while establishing, monitoring and managing operation goals.
- You will work across four main areas of our warehousing function: Operations, Health & Safety, Company Procedure and HR.
- You will ensure goods are received effectively.
- Managing storage and the pick and dispatch functions.
- You will manage workloads and deploy staff, ensuring everyone performs to high standards.
- Make sure documentation is maintained and updated as required alongside all SOPs and work instructions.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- Numeracy and Literacy and ideally GCSE equivalent in Maths and English.
- Proven work experience in a Warehouse environment, ideally in the Chemical sector.
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy.
- Ideally knowledge of Warehouse Management systems and IT software (eg JD Edwards,
- Google Suite, etc).
- FLT License or the capacity to learn.
- Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and strong people management skills.
- Excellent team worker, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
