£44,000 per annum, rising to £79,040 per annum
Aldi is one of the fastest growing supermarkets in the World and now has over 900 Stores in the UK, with a view to increasing this to 1,200 stores by 2025
Aldi’s newest Regional Distribution Centre is a 100-acre site in Sawley which opened in 2020, creating hundreds of new jobs within the local area.
The role will involve assisting the Property Director with property related projects, completion of new sites under construction, store extensions, refurbishments and acquisition of new sites to the agreed ALDI specification whilst ensuring an efficient and co-operative working environment, minimal costs, strong due diligence and accurate accounts.
As a Property Manager you will be part of an integral team tasked with the efficient and accurate running of the Property Department. This is at an exciting period of new store openings and existing store upgrades moving forward.
Duties of the Property Manager include:
- Organising and overseeing repairs and architectural changes as well as other work to be carried out on the stores and the external areas.
- Informing the Property Director on the status of any construction, refurbishments, extensions and other property related projects undertaken
- Ensuring all aspects of store design are checked, meet ALDI specifications, UK design standards and are compliant with the relevant Building Regulations.
- Obtains all required warrants and licences where necessary for construction, refurbishments, extensions and other property related projects.
- Monitoring construction progress and optimising the approval processes.
- Recommending the purchase of assets, over the limit determined, to the Property Director.
- Overseeing planned maintenance contracts
- Authorising the payment of invoices
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety measures in their area of responsibility.
To be considered for the role of Property Manager you must:
- Have experience or knowledge with in property, construction or facilities
- A university degree (not necessarily in a field related to this role)
- Have managed senior level third party relationships
- Be commercially and financially astute.
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills
