This is the ideal role for a Purchase Administrator looking to gain employment with a long-standing company.
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking individual who is looking to have a career in purchasing. The individual will be trained to a level where they have a sound knowledge of engineering and purchasing to allow them to source materials for production of the highest quality at the best price. The role will require a person with good negotiation skills as it involves contacting several suppliers and achieving discounts. The ideal candidate will have good organisational skills to stay ahead of paperwork and aid them in managing stock.
Your duties will include:
- Buy materials & supplies
- Liaising with co-workers and suppliers
- Comparing prices and collating quotes
- Planning & organising materials for work on factory floor
- Managing stock levels
- Scheduling & timing delivery of materials
- Responsible for quality management of materials
- Making and answering telephones in an efficient and effective manner
- Entering information onto the computer
- Keeping up to date accurate records
- Other general office duties
To be considered for the role of Purchase Administrator, you must have:
- Negotiation skills
- Commercial awareness
- Capable of working well under pressure
- Relevant engineering knowledge
- IT skills
- Good quality management organisation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Experience of working with Excel (including formulas)
- Neat and legible handwriting
- Positive can-do attitude
- Ability to check own work
Additionally, you must possess high levels of accuracy and commitment to the role and reliability.
Previous experience within a similar role is essential. You must have a full driving license and your own transport as you will be involved site installations.
39 hours per week, day shift.
Opportunities for pay rises after completion of probationary period.
