Our client is a family ran Engineering company. Providing the highest quality to their clients, they are constantly pursuing new ways to improve the services and products they offer. An opportunity has arisen for MIG/TIG Welder Fabricators to join their team on a Temp-Perm bases.
This is the ideal role for a Welder Fabricator looking to gain employment with a long-standing company.
As a Welder/Fabricator you will have a vast amount of experience welding material 3mm thick. The individual will have a sound knowledge of engineering and welding to allow them to work individually on prototype designs and take great pride in producing a high-quality products. The role will require a diverse range of skills with the individual being able to MIG/TIG weld. The ideal candidate will have good quality management skills to highlight errors and aid them in avoiding rework. The individual will need strong experience of the welding machine to select the appropriate settings for the material specification.
Your duties will include:
- MIG/TIG Weld/Fabricate bespoke items 1.6mm – 30mm thick
- Quality check that Materials List matches Drawings
- Operate machinery (saw, pillar drill, press brake, guillotine)
- The ability to work at pace and maintain high levels of accuracy
- Manage time through Job cards
- Install products at customers’ facilities
- Use precision instruments
- Quality inspect work
- Liaise with Design Engineers
- Follow Health & Safety Regulations
- Site installations across the North East of England
To be considered for the role of Production Operative, you must have:
- Experienced MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator
- Drive and carry out customer site installations
- Ability to produce clean and consistent welds
- Capable of interpreting and working to engineering drawings
- Ability to weld free hand as well as develop jigs to assist manufacture
- Punctual and reliable
- Relevant engineering knowledge
- Good quality management
Additionally, you must possess high levels of accuracy. Commitment to the role and reliability.
Previous experience within a similar role is essential. You must have a full driving license and your own transport as you will be involved site installations.
39 hours per week, day shift.
Opportunities for pay rises after completion of probationary period.
Must complete interview stage and weld test to be successful.
