Our client is the leading complete dry pet food manufacturer in the UK and they currently have a rare opportunity for an experienced packing/production/manufacturing manager to lead their Packing Department.

What Will You Do as a Packing Unit Manager?

  • As a Packing Unit Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Packing Team Leaders and Packing Operatives
  • You will also continuously oversee product safety, dimensions, quality and standards.
  • Adhere to a manufacturing schedule on a daily basis and monitor Health and Safety procedures.
  • Lead the packing department in cost reduction and output performance
  • Develop, monitor and communicate the right operations KPIs
  • Working on rotational shift pattern 6am-6pm / 6pm-6am (48 hours p/w)

What do we require from you?

  • You will have an extensive manufacturing (preferably food) background and will have worked in a managerial or team leading position before.
  • You have good knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and have previously led teams with 10 or more people.
  • You also have proven experience managing teams and departments against set outputs & KPIs
